Smithsonian Student Travel announces seven new Golden Boarding Pass winners

Prizes include two VIP tours of the Smithsonian and five Apple iPod touches.


Cambridge, MA. / February 19, 2010 - Smithsonian Student Travel announced seven winners in their Golden Boarding Pass sweepstakes today. Two teachers won VIP tours of the Smithsonian on their Smithsonian Student Travel class trips. Five teachers were awarded new Apple iPod touches.

 

New winners are announced every week by the student trip operator, with the grand prize, a free trip for ten, to be awarded on March 31, 2010. The grand prize will be a free, all-inclusive class trip to Washington, D.C. for ten. Other prizes include travel scholarships, VIP museum tours and Apple iPod touches.

 

April Barron was one of the three iPod touch winners from the January 29th Golden Boarding Pass drawing. She is a high school teacher from Corn, Okla. and is looking at a tour of the southern United States.

 

Dean Shultz is from Bakersfield, Calif. and was one of four new winners announced February 5th. He is extremely pleased to hear about his free iPod touch. When asked where he would like to travel to next with students Schultz replied, “I would love to go to Washington D.C.”

 

Jo Jacobsen, also a winner of an iPod touch, resides in Yakima, Wash. as a middle school teacher. When asked about possibly traveling with Smithsonian Student Travel, she said, “I am dying to go to the Smithsonian and see the National Museum of Natural History!”

 

Other winners included VIP Smithsonian tour winner Shalei Webb of Mesa, Ariz; and Apple iPod touch winners Stacey Ward of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Allison Klimek of North Platte, Neb.; and Laura Swaim of Fernandina Beach, Fla.
