Introducing our new Washington, D.C., & Gettysburg tour!

This fall, Smithsonian Student Travel is proud to introduce our Washington, D.C., & Gettysburg tour, coming this fall. While the 4-day tour features the most celebrated sites in our nation’s capital, it also focuses on the historic events that occurred in the small town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

While standing on the fields of Gettysburg National Military Park, students gain new perspective on the pivotal Civil War battle and the divisions between North and South. President Lincoln’s famous Gettysburg Address also takes on new relevance as students reflect on how his words helped shape modern U.S. politics and society. The visit to Gettysburg includes a guided tour of Gettysburg National Military Park, a visit to the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center as well as the Cyclorama Experience.

Groups can also choose our 5- and 7-day versions of the tour. The 5-day tour includes an additional day in Washington, D.C., with visits to Ford’s Theatre and Petersen House, the Newseum and your choice of the Smithsonian’s museums. Or continue your journey through history with our 7-day tour, which includes Williamsburg and Jamestown.
