Group Leader

Your teacher is your Group Leader. He or she will discuss expectations before your class trip and will set the rules on tour. Make sure to listen carefully and follow directions during your class trip.

Tour director

In addition to your group leader and chaperones, you will also have a full-time Smithsonian Student Travel Tour Director, who is with your group 24 hours a day. Your tour director has been trained to engage students with interactive learning strategies and is an expert guide for the area you are visiting. Your tour director can also answer any questions you have about your destination while you are traveling.

Licensed Guides

You'll also get extra insight from licensed guides who join your trip at important sites. These guides share interesting facts and stories that you won't find in any books.

Bus Driver

Your friendly and experienced bus driver will be with your group throughout your trip, making sure you get where you need to be on time. All of our bus companies are insured members of the American Bus Association, meeting top safety and quality standards.
