What is it?

EF’s Job-Loss Money-Back Guarantee protects travel investments in the event of a job loss in the family. Any traveler whose family suffers a loss of employment can recover nearly all of their money if they choose to cancel their Smithsonian Student Travel tour. Participants who cancel due to the loss of a job in the family - even up to the day before their tour’s departure - are eligible to receive a refund of all monies paid (minus nonrefundable fees and a maximum of $100 in cancellation fees).

EF’s Job-Loss Money-Back Guarantee takes the worry out of investing in an educational tour. Parents can now confidently enroll their children and make payments knowing that their investments are protected in the event of an unfortunate job loss.


Who’s covered?

Our new cash-back guarantee automatically covers any Smithsonian Student Travel participant traveling on a 2009 tour (departing after April 1) or any participant who signs up for a 2010 tour by October 31, 2009.


How does it work?

In the unfortunate situation that a traveler suffers a job loss in the family and chooses to cancel their tour, the participant needs to file a claim within 14 days. Simply call 1.888.333.9756, and one of our customer service representatives will help start a job-loss claim.
