Like the Smithsonian Institution, we believe every student should have the opportunity to explore the rich heritage of our nation. The Smithsonian Student Travel Liberty Scholarship helps students pay for their tours and gives more people the freedom to explore their country.  Smithsonian Student Travel will award $10,000 through our Liberty Scholarship Program this year in support of our mission to help as many students explore our nation as possible .

Students can apply for the Liberty Scholarship by completing an entry form and answering our essay question, "Why is traveling on this tour important to you?"
